The gifted Nigerian Afrobeat artist, Ruger, has unveiled his first Extended Playlist (EP), titled “Pandemic.”
Michael Adebayo Olayinka, widely known as Ruger, is a Nigerian Afrobeat vocalist and songwriter. Ruger rose to prominence in 2021 after signing a record deal with D’Prince’s “Jonzing World Record,” along with a publishing and distribution agreement with Columbia Records and the U.K division of Sony Music Entertainment.
Ruger possesses a distinctive style, which he showcases with an eye patch, self-assurance, captivating vocals, and clever lyrics. His debut EP, “Pandemic,” serves as an homage to his bold entrance into the Nigerian music scene. The lyrical variety in the “Pandemic” EP demonstrates Ruger’s intricate creativity, indicating a promising future akin to that of his label mate.
