Trapped at Toll Gate EP by Cash’N’Out, Abramsoul & Tia.
The executive producer, Cash’N’Out, introduces the talented Nigerian artists Abramsoul and Tia with their collaborative E.P project titled “Trapped at Toll Gate.”
“Trapped at Toll Gate” alludes to artists who face challenges transitioning from daily street hustles to the music industry, often finding themselves ensnared by their former lifestyles. The journey to success is particularly arduous in Nigeria, where a do-it-yourself approach is essential.
This release represents a selection from what was intended to be a full album by Abramsoul and TIA, conceived during the End SARS movement. While the EP is inspired by that tumultuous time in the history of Nigerian youth, the artists chose not to comment directly on the events, instead using the time to explore new musical directions.
The project comprises four tracks.
